Rot, a preparation of flour, gur and ghee, is prepared by devotees as an offering for Baba Balak Nath. It is then distributed as Prasad to the followers. On Sakranti, only halwa is offered. There is also a tradition of offering goats which are not slaughtered but looked after. Navratris and Sakrantis see a huge congregation at the temple complex which spans roughly 2 sq. kms.

The government, in keeping with the growing worshippers, has stepped up the facilities provided there. They have set up tent accommodation and basic amenities to facilitate visits by the followers. The cable-car at Shah Talai attracts many visitors. The temple trust provides facilities for accommodation and Langar for the devotees.
